Good morning, Cary! We’ve got a good a bit to cover today so I’ll keep it short on top. Make sure to check out the events this week and weekend!
Anyway, here’s what you can expect in today’s issue:

Polls Are Open Until 7:30 PM Tonight
If you didn’t get your vote in early, today is your last chance. Polls across Cary are open from 6:30AM to 7:30PM, and as long as you’re in line by 7:30, you get to vote. A few quick things before you head out, if you haven’t heard already:
Today you have to vote at your assigned polling place, which may not be where you voted early. Double check where yours is here.
Bring a photo ID. If you don’t have one, you can still vote by filling out an ID exception form at the polls.
Same-day registration ended with early voting on Saturday, so you’ll need to already be registered.
As for what’s on your ballot, there are no Town Council races right now. Instead, you’ll see county races like Wake County Commissioners, Sheriff, and District Attorney.
There are also some bond referendum questions, which may vary by precinct. You can pull up your exact sample ballot through that same lookup link. Results will start rolling in tonight and news coverage and many local sites should have live stats on the results.
What is a bond referendum?
A bond referendum asks voters whether the county can borrow money for big projects, like building or repairing schools. That money is paid back over many years to investors, with interest. A “yes” vote approves the borrowing for such projects. A “no” vote means the county can’t borrow that money through these bonds.

Town Updates
Black Creek Greenway Reopens Early!
In an official announcement yesterday, the Town of Cary shared that this 2.5 mile stretch of Greenway is back after renovations. It includes wider trails, better drainage, and a new pedestrian bridge of the Cary Parkway.
New Restaurant in December: Bar O Bar
SAMA Hospitality, of Fusion9, is reportedly opening a new Cary location in December. Google Maps has the location listed at 2301 Corley Rd, Suite 101 and the spot appears to be a new contemporary Indian restaurant. Their website is down currently but we’ll share any updates as we learn more.

Single Mingle… Coming November 19th!
With a 93% approval, we felt we had to get something for the singles going ASAP. So, I am excited to share that the Dinner Club will host a singles night to get things started, as we lock down venues for a soon to be announced concept 👀
Singles Dinner Club has:
Limited Seats per gender to keep things balanced.
Singles Dinners are split by overlapping age brackets (our biggest request), so you decide what works best for what you’re looking for.
We will send easy to follow directions to find FREE parking (so no excuses folks).
We’re starting in Downtown Raleigh to make sure we get this new format right. So send this to your single friends, and grab your seats today as we think this one will sell out pretty quick.
Spot of the Week: Paul & Jack Bakery - Cary
The clocks just fell back, which means it’s officially the season for something warm and sweet with your morning cup of joe. If you need a spot to find something like that, Paul & Jack Bakery & Cafe off Lake Pine Drive is gonna be a good bet.
Owner and pastry chef Jacques Matar started Paul & Jack with his wife Alina in 2023 after moving to the U.S. They began in Wake Forest, took over a downtown Raleigh bakery on West Street, and as of 2026 have a spot right here in Cary.
If you only grab one thing, make it the bombolonis (which you can see here). They’re Italian doughnuts rolled in cinnamon sugar and filled with housemade cream or fruit confit. The seasonal options are there too and as of just this past week, they had Pumpkin Pie out for grabs as well.
Find them over at 1881 Lake Pine Dr, Cary, NC 27511. Popular pastries can go fast on weekends, so get there early, and check their hours before you head over:
Every week we feature a business, restaurant, or local figure here in the Town of Cary. Reach out here to get in front of 10,000+ local readers.
